Hanabatake Bokujo Nama Caramel

My boss went to Niseko last week.
Every time he goes business trip, he brings some sweets and snacks which are sold only in local.

This time he bought Nama (Nama means raw) Caramel that is really popular right now.
Many people make a line to get this raw caramel like Crispy Cream.

Taste is milky and just disappears after the moment you put in a mouth.

If you go to Hokkaido, try some local sweets and taste this caramel!

Cheers

Yokohama

I went to Yokohama last week.
Near Sakuragi-cho station, there are a lot of things to see.

1 is Hotel which is accessible by moving walkways from Sakuragi-cho station. It has many restaurants and has spectacular view from 70th floor. Big entrance decollated huge pictures and chandelier is welcoming customers and seems more people than at the station.

Unused small dock is just in front of the hotel and grassy carpet with liver view is good place for resting. A lot of sunshine warms us and didn’t feel so cold.

Amusement park which is next to the dock is crowded with families and couples.
I like night time!
Ferris wheel becomes landmark in here and produces a romantic atmosphere.

“Aka Renga” locates more close to the sea and many variety restaurants and shops inside. “Aka Renga” is made up by two buildings and performance or music play is often provided in another building.
Even ice rink is open for winter season and sooooo many (actually, I would like to describe toooooo many) visitors are enjoying sketing.

Yes, you can enjoy all day in Yokohama and I can recommend for families, friends, couples of course!

Visit Yokohama!

Our first visitation Hakuba in 2009

Try to visit English pub located next to Mominoki hotel if you need sleepless night life.
I was surprised such a crowded with not Japanese but foreigners and can’t feel like I’m in Nagano prefecture.
You can enjoy live bands and DJ events and pool tables and darts in the second floor.
One of my friends was actually playing as DJ at that night so we drank a lot and danced with that great music.

Next morning, outside was just complete white!
It was snowing snowing and changed the place to perfect snow resort!

We lifted up Happo Mt. and stated skiing in that beautiful white world.
Powder snow and gorgeous view and nice course were absolutely fantastic!

I strongly recommend that you should visit Hakuba once and discover what attracts many skiers from all over the world!

Our first visitation Hakuba in 2009

In the evening, we went to hot spring, “Kurashitano Yu”, which has an open-air bath with brown hot water and great view of mountains.
There is a cover around bath tub at that time to shut out cold air so unfortunately we couldn’t see outside view.

There are no other people besides us at the time we are there.
I used whole bath tub and extended legs, arms and didn’t need to care others.
Enjoyed long bath and warmed myself.

There are a lot of hot springs in Hakuba.
Property in Hakuba is introduced in our HP!

Start driving from Shinjuku station at 8:30.
According to the weather forecast, it might have been snowing in Tokyo.
When arriving in Hakuba afternoon, what I could see first was really scanty snow in Hakuba. Although I bought new shoes for walking in snow and looking forward to seeing plenty snow and such as white world, it seemed more like snow in Tokyo.

We viewed circumstances and available properties in Wadano area.
The log house “Maki” located just walking distance gondola finishes basement construction and now open for accommodation.
Have a look pictures and looking forward to having your inquiry.

109 sushi shop!

My friend from Thailand really into eating “Sushi” and we went sushi shop where is in 109 building at Shibuya last night.
This place is the one which my Australian friend recommended but I doubted a little because normally a restaurant which is in the department store has not good taste and not go with the price.

However, it was much nicer more than what I expected and not expensive. Even fresh “uni” costs just 320 yen for 2 pieces.
There is not only sushi but extra menu like salad, soup, desert, international roll are prepared.
My Thai friend of course loved that taste!

If you like sushi or you have never had sushi before, stopped by 109 to try real raw fresh fishes!

We provide usuful info for living Japan with lots of fun!

The more wish, The more good luck?

Many Japanese company starts working from today.
I also took New Year holiday last week and spent a time with my family in Shizuoka prefecture.

Shizuoka locates more west and warmer than Tokyo but feels much colder because where I was staying was close to liver and ocean.
There are several shrines and temples nearby so visited at the midnight of 1st Janurary to wish for happy New Year and have a sip of sweet Sake, Amazake, which is made of rice and provided at New Years day.

I go to shrine every New Year but in this time already went to 4 shrines with my friend and family and do same things like praying and having Amazake.
Meiji jingu which is one of the most well known shrine is just a couple of minutes walk from our office.
I’m thinking whether I should go to there to wish good year once again, or not?

Wish your greatest 2009!
